The fishing so far this winter has been superb. We have a huge range of species to target and when the weather allows we head out to catch species such as Haddock, Whiting, Rays, Spurdog, Smoothhound and much more. Here is a selection of fish caught Bite Adventures so far this winter...

We have been having some very good ray fishing lately on the sand banks. A number of big Small Eyed rays are being caught with several double figure fish coming to the boat, topped of with Kieren catching a new boat record of 14lb 12oz! See some more catches in this blog post...

The autumn and winter months see us fish inshore for all sorts of species. When fishing on the sand banks we can often have some excellent ray fishing, some days seeing 50+ fish in a day. The Blonde Ray fishing so far this season has been great with several fish showing over the 20lb mark. We are lucky enough to have Couch's Bream in the waters of West Cornwall. These beautiful fish are quite rare in the UK but we have a number of marks which produce specimen sized fish over 5lb. On the 14th July 2017 a monster Blue Shark took one of our baits. It was John Dines turn on the rod and he played the huge Blue Shark to the boat. It was a massive fish with a length of 106" and a girth of 44"! This gave a calculated weight of 256lb - a new British Rod Caught Record! As with all sharks on Bite Adventures, the fish was safely  released. Check out this blog post for more info...

With the warming sea temperatures, May see's Bite Adventures head offshore to have a first look on the sharks. The first trip this year didn't disappoint and they were waiting for us, including a big girl of 167lb! We are now at the start of July and have caught over 250 sharks on trips so far this year with plenty more to come. Take a look at this blog post for some photos of the action!
