Autumn Blonde Ray Fishing in Cornwall

The autumn and winter months see us fish inshore for all sorts of species. When fishing on the sand banks we can often have some excellent ray fishing, some days seeing 50+ fish in a day. The Blonde Ray fishing so far this season has been great with several fish showing over the 20lb mark. Take a look at this blog post to see some of the Blondes that have been caught so far this autumn. 

The Blonde Ray fishing in West Cornwall can be superb. On a good day we can catch over 50 fish with many over the 20lb mark. Our best day so far this year saw over 70 ray come to the boat. These fish are excellent sport on light tackle! The best Blonde so far this autumn goes to Andrew Alsop who had a day off from skippering White Water charters. He had a cracking fish and a new PB of 24lb 9oz. Andrew took his fish on my Quantum Blue Spin 7-30g rod and Quantum Cabo 40 reel.... what a scrap!
