"Chippy" - The Skipper of Bite Adventures

Chippy The Skipper

I have been fishing for 15 years out of Penzance, I started as a crew on another charter boat when I was 15 with a well known local skipper [ Nicky Morse.]

I learnt a lot in my time there but after 6 years it was time for a challenge. We got a family boat with a commercial licence. Once I had the licence I had to go out and find fish on a regular basis ,to pay for the licence. After a couple of years taking friends out on the family boat, I decided, or should I say that people I know, or people that have fished with me told me to look in to being a full time charter Skipper, in which I did and never looked back.

"Chippy the skipper is certificated for 20 miles coastal. first aid, fire fighting, sea survival,  radio operator and safety awareness."

In the last 5 years I have been the skipper of the winning boat in our local Sea Sports open boat Competition 4 times, its a great Competition to be involved in, bringing fishing friends from all over the country together for 1 weekend (Aug bank holiday). This competition is open to any angler willing to join us for the weekend. For any info on this please contact Newtown Angling Centre. (Check out the Links page).

When the weather is not so favorable I am still looking for fish of the shore to weigh in to the local angling club (Mounts Bay). Cornwall is well recognised as one of the best counties in the British Isles to be able to target a great array of different species from the boat and the shore
